Teaching Format
The lecture will be available as a collection of (relatively) short video files. All videos can be downloaded through ILIAS. In addition, there will be bi-weekly in-person meetings that will allow for a more interactive format. During these in-person meetings, students will have the opportunity to ask questions, gain additional insights into the lecture content and the literature, discuss topical content, and participate in exercises.
Time and place
The lecture videos will be available for download on ILIAS. The weekly meetings will take place on Monday at 4 pm in room 1C-02 (building 05.20, Kaiserstraße 89-93 (Allianz-Gebäude)). News and updates will be published on ILIAS throughout the semester.
Kick-Off Session
The first "kick-off" session of this lecture will take place in the first week of the semester, on Thursday, October 21st at 8 AM in room 228 (building 10.91).
Content | In this lecture, students will be introduced to fundamental theories and key insights on human judgment and decision making. Topics include decision making under uncertainty, choice biases, simple heuristics, risk perception and -communication, as well as social and emotional influences on decision making, to name but a few. In the Wintersemester 20/21 this class will be held online. The lecture videos will be available for download and there will be regular online meetings to discuss the topics. The lecture will be held in English. |
